Peter,

If you want to re-create the file, use the "ln" binary in Linux. Do this by typing "ln -s *filename* *shortcutname*". For example you could link it to the boot-menu.b file with this syntax: "ln -s boot-menu.b boot.b". That will give you your boot.b file. Hope this helped.

Hi,

this may be a dumb question, but...here goes.

I am trying to build the boot disk for the first chapter.
I have a SuSe 8.1 system that boots with Lilo.

However, I do not have /boot/boot.b

Rather, I have some files called
/boot/boot.0300
/boot/boot.0306

Is there a way of recreating the file boot.b for Pocket linux?

Thanks

Peter
