hello,
i used a 2.4 kernel with oss for kernel support for audio with older
hardware and everything worked fine. i have a newbie friend who wants to
attempt pocket linux but has new hardware, i.e. ibm laptop with the
analog devices, 'intel8x0' driver with alsa. should i be able to get
this to work?, i gather i'll be using a 2.6.x kernel? i promised to help
with kernel compile part.
thanks
p.s. finally caught up fixing some loose ends, saw the correction for
'more.sh' on the list. i'm so damn lazy, i didn't want to redo the root
disk just to remove a space so i wound up editing with 'ed' on the
ramdisk.it works fine now. and i thought mp3blaster was cryptic ...
here's a link for ed commands if anyone needs them,
