hello,

managed to get through 'til the end with a few glitches to iron out 
before i move on to the appendix.

the 'more' command doesn't seem to work it just dumps me to the end of 
the file. i believe i had this problem last time as well but never 
bothered to pursue it. i rechecked it line by line and it looked good. 
then again, i'm jumping from one terminal to the next to copy this stuff ...

also, i noticed at shutdown i don't get the message,
    'Remounting / as read-only'
went back to ch 6 and checked 'local_fs' and 'rc' and they both, too, 
looked good. i could have sworn it worked before. i'm going to recopy 
'phase5-image' to the root disk and see.

any advice would be appreciated.

p.s. is there an issue with pine and the mailing list, i sent some stuff 
a while back that never arrived? i'd like to send my queries directly 
from the build system and that's all i've got. sent some tests to myself 
and they worked. thanks again.
