Hi Stefan,
From my experience, this error has nothing to do with using the wrong
libraries. (but of course I can be wrong)
I got the message :
> Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.
when I really forgot to pass the option init=/bin/sh in the menu.lst file
Be also sure that you have created the device /dev/console
If it is after all the libraries, you can find precompiled for old machines at
